since your hair is short, you can't quite get the typical emo look (long, black, covering one eye) until it grows out a bit, but you still have a lot of choices.

you can straighten the front and spike up the back, give yourself a fauxhawk, etc. if you dye it, go all black, black with random colors in it, or black and blonde.

if you want to look/be emo (why I wouldn't know) just dye it black and have it cover your face as much as you can.

the harder it is to see the more emo you will look.

Dye it black. Just comb it so it goes in your face as much as you can, it should cover your eyes and not go past your ears, then you start to get scene. [:
