How can I fix a regretted emo hairstyle?

It's been 7-9 months since i've gotten this cut. I regret it. I have bangs that go down past my lips, everything else is normal length until you get towards the back of my head. Than it becomes very short. Is there anyway I can fix this so i can put my hair in a pony tail without looking strange?

I don't want to cut my hair at all to achieve an eveness; however, I dont supposed the hair on the back of my head would grow faster to catch up with the rest of my hair? Or am I just a hopeless believer?

or do a cute winona ryder hair cut, but keep your bangs a little long.

DONT get hair extensions, it will ruin your hair.
