The place to buy good make up for the emo look that you want is MAC. Their colors really bring out a statement and stand out. You should go to a MAC store or a Dillard's. One of their make up artists will help you with picking out the right colors also. They really like experimenting with different things there so tell them what you want and they'll definately help you out.

I don't know how emo it is, but I have a pencil eyeshadow in dark purple that I just put right next to my eyelashes but if you put more it could definitely be emo. Purple is supposed to make brown eyes 'pop' or whatever, but I've never really noticed, I just like how it looks.

mac has some pretty bold eye shadows that are great. They're around 15 bucks but they usually last awhile so its worth it. Also a lot of the girls that work for mac usually do their makeup pretty well so you could always go and ask them to show you how to apply. I use their Crimson for an eyeliner which is there darkest black they have and I also bought purple haze which is like a deep purple. They have all different colors from red to turquois. You can always look at Nylon magazine they usually have kind of emo/indie girls in that magazine you can go off of. Have fun experiment...emo/indie makeup is meant to be different and a sign of your personality.

i agree MAC is the best place to buy ur makeup not only bcuz it lasts longer but also because of the wide variety in colors, which is wat you are going to need. wen it comes to doing ur makeup emo just think 80's! bright bold colors on your eyes matching w/e bright color shirt ur wearing that day. ask some1 @ mac or even take in a picture %26amp; have them show u HOW to apply it in the style u desire.

Use lipliner for eyeliner... like red, for lips just use chapstick ... looks really good. You can use any make up line, even Cover Girl, and turn it emo, you just have to have artistic talent to make your black eyeshadow not look gothy.
